6. Workflow management

GBE links information sufficiency to the main phases of the project – conceptual design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and maintenance. Any transition between phases triggers massive auditing of the information; data inconsistency, pending or outstanding issues may block the progress.
GBE changes the routine way of work, job assignments and responsibilities. To shorten the learning curve, GBE navigates the engineer through the steps of the engineering data collection. For example, control engineering cannot be started if the plant layout is not linked to P&ID drawings.
